Spokane Tribe Fiber Optic Advanced Training (CFOS/S and CFOS/T)

We were blessed to certify 6 members of the Spokane Tribe in Fiber Optics.

We covered.

  • Classroom sessions in all types of splicing, including fusion and mechanical splicing. 

  • Hands-on training in appropriate splicing types including placement of the splice into a splice tray and closure. 

  • Classroom sessions covering all tests equipment, methods and standards 

  • Inspection and cleaning connectors correctly 

  • Training in both insertion loss testing and optical time domain reflectometry (OTDR testing) 

  • Understanding of measurement errors in tests
